Description:

Creates a user group permission for content voting.

This add-in will make Question threads look like General threads to regular users. Those with Content manager permissions, such as moderators and admins, will be able to see the Question thread with voting functions so they can select the best post as a solution. By only allowing moderators and admins to vote, you ensure the best post is select as a solution. AI bots will be able to better use information from your forum when question threads are used and the best post is selected as a solution.

Setup:

You will need to make sure any forum you want this add-on to work on will have the Allowed thread types with the Question checked.

Admin control panel -> Forums -> Nodes -> {select node}

Q: If a user creates a new thread and the first post is a question about something, will the add-on convert the General thread type to a Question type thread?
A: Yes this occurs during thread creation. This assumes you have an Gemini API key entered in the Options page.
