On Windows 11

Go to the official site: https://www.qbittorrent.org/download.php
Under Windows, click the link for the 64-bit installer (.exe).
When the download finishes, double–click the .exe file.
If SmartScreen pops up, click More info → Run anyway (only if you downloaded from the official site).
Follow the setup wizard:
- Accept the license
- Choose install location (default is fine)
- Leave default components checked
- Click Install
When it finishes, leave Launch qBittorrent checked and click Finish.
On first run, accept the legal notice and adjust your settings (download folder, connections, etc.).

On macOS (Mac OS)

Again, go to: https://www.qbittorrent.org/download.php
Scroll to Mac OS section and download the proper build for your Mac:
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3): choose the build marked for ARM / Apple Silicon if available
- Intel Mac: choose the Intel (x86_64) build
You’ll get a .dmg file. When it finishes downloading, double–click it.
A window will open showing the qBittorrent app icon. Drag the qBittorrent icon to the Applications folder inside that window.
Eject the mounted qBittorrent disk image from Finder.
Open Applications and double–click qBittorrent.
If macOS shows “app can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”:
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to see the message about qBittorrent and click Open Anyway
On first run, accept the legal notice and configure your folders and bandwidth.

Optional tips

Always download from the official qBittorrent site or the links it provides, not from random mirrors.
After installation, go to Tools → Options in qBittorrent to set:
- Default download folder
- Port / connection limits
- Queueing rules
